((This is the plot which involves Suiris, Rim and Aurel XV. If anyone would like to join, please say so.))
At the beginning of time, there was the Astrovican. A being of great knowledge and power, the Astrovican has been the center of almost every religious practice employed by the governments of the Galaxy. It was he who created the universe, time and existence using Xero. But, unable to create living organisms that had their own unique image, the Astrovican created a race in his image, the Emmulators, to create life unlike themselves in the barren universe.
Among these beings was one which reigned supreme, Otriouus. He ruled as the Astrovican's right-hand for many millennia, bringing into being sentients unlike themselves to the universe using Xero, while at the same time, assuming leader of the Emmulators.
But over time, Otriouus became overwhelmed by the sheer amount of power he controlled and decided he was much more powerful than the Astrovican, therefore declaring the Astrovican as useless. Otriouus gathered a large force of Emmulators known as the Arcanists, and assumed the title of Immolator, declaring war on the Astrovican.
But the Astrovican wasn't without allies. The remaining Emmulators banned together under the rule of the Astrovican, calling themselves the Altruists and set out to destroy the Immolator and the Arcanists. The Centennia War grew to immense proportions, expanding far beyond the boundaries of the galaxy, threatening to tear the fabric of existence.
The Immolator knew the Arcanists would lose the war, so he created the Hive in a different dimension known as the Netherverse, so when he sealed himself and the Astrovican away, they would be released and would infect the galaxy so when his Emmulator Lords were resurrected, they would be able to consume the unclean beings in the universe and once again, grow in power.
Eventually, the Immolator was cornered on an unknown planet with only eight Emmulator Lords left. He stuck with his plan and transformed the Emmulator Lords into supermassive black holes which would be the core of future galaxies, galaxies on which they could feed.
Before the Immolator sealed himself away, he swore to the Immolator and his servants that they would be back. As he went to seal himself and the Astrovican away, the Astrovican discovered of the Immolator’s plan to release the Hive and prevented both himself and the Immolator from being sealed in the Netherverse, therefore, preventing the release of the Hive. The two were sealed in two separate dimensions.
The surviving Altruists, knowing that the Immolator's servants would only be able to absorb organic matter and that the universe would be much better off without them, decided to also seal themselves away. They each constructed their own personal EmberMech and hid them inside the swirling storms of Gas Giants where they would remain undisturbed as the Altruists awaited the return of the Immolator in the throes of the Netherverse.
When the Altruists sealed themselves away in the Netherverse, they unknowingly released the Hive, unleashing the merciless parasites on the defenseless universe. The parasites spread across the universe, infesting galaxy after galaxy, until, eventually, they came across the Ancients.
The Ancients, seeing the horrible chaos and mass death the Hive created, decided to seal it away for good. They created the XeroShards, created from Xero which they had discovered many centuries before, and went from galaxy to galaxy, sealing the Hive away safely so it could not infest more galaxies.
The Hive remained sealed for almost one-hundred millennia until the High Raciv felt an unusually powerful energy force emanating from the planet Kurssok. At this time, the Xero Temple hadn’t discovered the writings of the extinct Ancients. So when they discovered the source of the energy, they took some of them from their place, not knowing they sealed one of the most powerfully parasitic life forms ever to plague the universe.
When they returned to the planet to gather the last remaining shards for research, word had gotten out about the shards to the Dominion, which dispatched a recovery force to search for the remaining shards on Xero. When the Alliance arrived, it fell under almost immediate attack by the Dominion, but somehow managed to land a majority of its forces onto the planet.
Though they had lost most of their fleet (the rest had retreated), the ground forces fought the Dominion led by the elite Royal Guard Corps. team Advent Horizon for nearly two weeks before the Cult arrived. The three-way battle dragged out for another three weeks, the Dominion and Cult constantly sabotaging the Alliance forces in an effort to discover the shards’ location.
Eventually, the Alliance was able to reach the location of the shards. As they prepared to leave the planet with the shards, they fell under attack by the Hive which was now released. Very few survived, and during the confusion, the Cult had managed to secure the shards and escaped the planet, forcing the Alliance to handle the Hive themselves.
The Alliance fleet arrived and supposedly destroyed the Hive by means of a massive orbital bombardment which was also used as a distraction so Advent Horizon could escape safely. This only caused the Hive to spread into the surrounding systems of Kurssok, and the system became the core of the Hive.
The war against the Hive has grown to immense proportions after nearly a century, and the discovery of the Ancients’ writings helped immensely. The Dominion has devoted itself to finding the paraplanets of every galaxy where the Hive was sealed away and release it, carrying out the Immolator’s plans and using the XeroShards to make their technology immensely powerful.
But the Cult and Alliance have created a way to counter this new threat and have founded the academies of Xero. Although the Cult and Alliance commonly struggle to work together, they usually ban together to stop the Dominion from achieving its goals.
Even as the Alliance and Cult valiantly squander the Dominion’s plans, the time for the resurrection of the eight Arcanist Lords nears. The Hive has spread to immense proportions, encompassing over ten thousand galaxies, paraforming in preparation for the return of their masters.
